Fly-Fishing The White River
Arkansas is often overlooked as a fly-fishing destination. But Arkansas is home to the current World Record Brown Trout (40lbs 4oz fish caught in 1992 caught on the Little Red River) and boasts the previous World Record Brown Trout (38lbs 9oz fish caught in 1988 on the Norfork River) as well as numerous Brown Trout that have eclipsed the 30lb mark. The tail waters of arkansas have proven they have what it takes to grow big trout. In addition to trophy trout, the White River in Arkansas offers the rare opportunity to catch four different species of trout (Brook Trout, Cutthroat Trout, on the same river on the same day. An accomplishment referred to as the Arkansas Grand Slam.
